Feel free to comment if you would like to be friended.

ETA: This is only meant for those who aren't already on my f-list (i.e. the ones who weren't cut) and who would like to friend me (or for the ones that I did cut, who would like to have me refriend them).

Yet another catch-up post, this time three months long.

- I HAZ PUPPY! YAY! His name is Pete. He's a pure-bred Shih Tzu. My mom got him from a friend of hers (who is a licensed breeder) and he's already eight weeks old (he was six weeks when I took that pic of him and put it on Twitter).

- I've been spending more time following/listening/watching/reading  these things since my last entry in February (in no particular order): The Chris Moyles Show and The Scott Mills Show and various other shows from BBC Radio 1 (via BBC iPlayer), various episodes of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (via some Chinese online video site), the show "Monkey" / "Saiyuki" (via Youtube), many Twitter tweets (including those from the BBC Radio 1 DJs whose shows I listen to).

- Congrats to Chelsea for winning the first league title in three years! All with a one point difference and a 8 goal stunner against Wigan on the final day.

- Current song of the moment: A tossup between Can't Be Tamed by Miley Cyrus, Dirtee Disco by Dizzie Rascal, Once by Diana Vickers, and Death By Diamonds and Pearls by Band of Horses. Note that three of the four I mentioned are British artists - a product of me listening to BBC Radio 1.

- My brother had a birthday dinner last month with mom and I at the Cheesecake Factory. Since my birthday is coming up the following Thursday of next week, my mom thought it would be nice to take me and my brother to Texas de Brazil for the b-day dinner. That will be fun. ;)

- The 2010 FIFA World Cup is less than a month away and I'm really excited to see it on TV.

I hate LJ friends cuts. I hate them with a passion because all it leaves are people with broken hearts.

I have no choice, though, but to clean house. Most of the people cut fall into one of three categories:

1) You don't update your journal much.
2) We don't share the same interests anymore.
3) I've given up on you.

If you want to re-friend me (or ask to be re-friended), feel free. If you want to defriend me at this point, that's fine too.

  • 10:11 At least the rain has finally stopped and the sun is now shining brightly outside. Not sure about Chelsea now that Scolari is gone, though. #

I've already seen the result of the Man U. - Chelsea match.

I'm just glad I didn't watch it on FSC.

Michael Crichton, Author, Dies At 66 (New York Times)

Wow. Apparently, he lost a private battle with cancer (although it is not said what type of cancer).

Other than Jurassic Park, he was also the man behind ER (other than John Wells, of course), which isn't that surprising as he had personal experience in the medical field (he was a doctor).

Obama - 338
McCain - 160

(According to ABC/CNN at the moment. I will update this post as the hours pass.)

ETA: ABC has projected that Barack Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States.

ETA #2: Although I have missed about two hours of election night coverage (errands with mom, among other things), I saw on CNN that Obama has basically won the vote for Nevada and Dina Titus is currently beating has just defeated incumbent Jon Porter for the state's 3rd Congressional seat.

The only downside is that the propositions against gay marriage have been passed in Arizona (already confirmed by ABC News), with Florida and California soon to follow (according to CNN). I would love to see how President-elect Obama deal with this issue.

I'm so glad I opted to read the live text of Roma-Chelsea instead of possibly watching the tape-delay version of it on ESPN Classic. It gives me the better opportunity TO YELL WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THEM RIGHT NOW.

*headdesks*

Sorry about that, non-soccer folks. I'm just having an off day today.
